The new MET Manta MIPS is an outstanding example of MET's aesthetic and cutting-edge design. Inspired by the valuable knowledge of professionals and the high demands of ambitious hobby athletes, the helmet focuses on four areas: safety, aerodynamics, fit and style. With these elements in mind, the all-new Manta MIPS® design follows the natural geometry of its predecessor. It's as brilliant as the original, but with even sharper looks and state-of-the-art performance. The Manta MIPS® is even more aerodynamic than its predecessor thanks to its lower, tubular profile at the rear, which we developed with special wind tunnel tests at the NEWTON laboratory in Milan.

MIPS® technology
The MIPS-C2® technology separates the shell and the liner with a thin layer of plastic called the Low Friction Layer (LFL). Thanks to this LFL, which is attached with four rubber elastomers, the helmet floats on the head and effectively diverts the rotational forces that occur in the event of a fall from the head.

Magnetic Fidlock® harness buckle
The Fidlock® magnetic buckle makes it easier and faster to attach the helmet. The function effectively reduces triathlon transition times.

CERAMICSPEED OSPW rear derailleur cage system Aero Coated 

Is it still possible to perfect the already fastest rear derailleur cage system? Ceramicspeed asked itself this question and worked on a solution together with the aerodynamics experts from Drag2Zero. And it says: It works. An almost closed cage encloses the jockey wheels and the guide plates and ensures that the air can flow past unhindered. In addition, braking turbulence is avoided. Numerous tests in the wind tunnel showed that the air resistance could be reduced by up to 60% compared to conventional rear derailleurs.

The proven Oversized Pulley Wheel System from Ceramicspeed continues to work under the "shell" and ensures a significant reduction in friction. The large derailleur pulleys with 13 teeth at the top and 19 teeth at the bottom significantly minimize the movement of the chain links when passing through the cage , which is noticeable in the lower resistance. In addition, the enlarged wheels offer a longer service life than other commercially available systems.


Please note that while there are visual similarities between the Dura Ace 9100 and 9200 OSPW systems, they are not compatible with each other.

maintenance
It is important to properly lubricate the bearings to maintain performance and longevity. Simply apply oil to the bearing seals, allowing the oil to penetrate the bearing. Ideally, this should be done when lubricating the chain, after washing the bike, or after riding in adverse conditions.

When travelling, please remember to dismantle the entire rear derailleur with an Allen key, as very few bicycle transport bags offer enough space for the OSPW system.

CERAMICSPEED OSPW rear derailleur cage system | SRAM Road AXS

CeramicSpeed's Oversized Pulley Wheel System (OSPW) is the logical consequence of minimizing friction. Due to the large derailleur pulleys with 15 teeth at the top and 19 teeth at the bottom, the wrap radii of the chain are significantly reduced, which is noticeable in the lower friction. In addition, the larger rear derailleur rollers offer a longer service life than other commercially available systems.

Technically, the OSPW system is equipped with high-performance bearings and special ceramic balls made of third-grade silicon nitrite (best grade achieved for ceramic bearings). The ball bearing cage is made of reinforced polyamide, with a hardened steel race and polished groove. The CeramicSpeed bearing balls are 15% harder, 100% smoother and 99% more resilient than standard ceramic balls. CeramicSpeed bearings are considered the best ceramic bearings in the world.
The bearing cage is made of carbon fibers reinforced with polyamide so that the forces can be better distributed and absorbed and your rear derailleur works perfectly even in the most adverse conditions.
